Whether you run a business from home or an external location or work in a company has you spend prime time in your office taking care of the livelihood.
The Feeling in your Office
Do you feel a lack of inspiration or a sense of procrastination and stagnation? As our business is interwoven with our personal life, we want to make sure to feel confident, empowered and inspired for the work in front of us.
Creative Energy in your Office
From developing new ideas, to filing and corresponding with current and potential clients, your workplace should ground you in creative energy to be positive and encouraged to face challenges and create abundance.
Often enough I have seen in my own life and in many houses of my clients that we might have a nice, cosy and peaceful living room and yet the office is a mess of papers, half done projects and cramped in furniture.
Your position counts
For us to create sacred space which allows the alignment to spirit and being efficient, focussed and inspired to realize our visions and live our passion, we need to place our desk rightly.
According to ancient wisdom of feng shui it is which way you face and where is your back to and what is on your sides. Make your position
- One where you can see the door
- One where the light comes from the side and not the front or back
- One where you have a wall in your back to support you
- One from where you receive your clients to welcome them
- One where you can look out to connect to your environment
Support
Feeling the energy of support and alignment in an armchair describes what you want to create around you, meaning that the shelves and drawers holding your files and materials are equally balanced in height on either side of you.
Being an encompassing leader
Being an encompassing leader made a major shift for my accountant who asked me to feng shui her big open office space. I pointed out that she was sitting in the position of a secretary with having her colleges all in her back and looking onto a table with empty boardroom chairs. We switched her desk facing to the opposite side of the room with her back to the wall and sheltering her desk with screens to have privacy. Now she could see the customers coming and at the same time respond to her employees from a leading position.
Vision and Accomplishments
Vision and accomplishments have their place in the right desk position around you. Opposite you is the perfect area to have an image that anchors focus and expansion into your vision.
Your accomplishments and certificates have their place either in your back or on your side being supported by them and for your potential customer to see.
